Samuel Britt's sister, Nancy, married Medy Lamb, whose 1804 will references "one hundred acres of land lying in the fork of Great Hog Swamp and Little Hog Swamp, joining Josiah Barnes and Samuel Britt lines." Josiah Barnes's great-grandson (Henry Frank Sutton) and Samuel Britt's great-granddaughter (Prudence Anna Britt) would eventually marry.
