Personal
Noah's father, Thomas B. Heath, went off to war soon after the 1860 census was taken; he was captured and died in a military prison in Frederick, Maryland, in 1864. Noah didn't marry until he was about 35.

Census:

1860 Pulaski County, Georgia: Thomas B., 38; Elizabeth, 32; William D., 14; Winford, 12; John J., 10; Noah G., 7; Jacob F., 5; Hugh H., 2.

1910 Wilcox County, Georgia: Noah G., 56; Julia, 43; Thomas, 22; Sarah, 20; James H., 18; Rebecca G., 16; George G., 15; Alma I., 13;  Hezekiah, 10. Noah and Julia Ann had been married 23 years, and 11 of the the 15 children they'd had survived. Noah rents the property that  he is farming. Also living there (or next door) is their widowed daughter, Lucretia Holder, 20, and her 1-year-old daughter, Annie. Thomas was  working his father's farm as the foreman, and James and George were laborers. Lucretia was listed as a dressmaker.

1920 Wayne County, Georgia: Noah G., 65; Julia, 52; Sarah E., 30; James H., 28; Georga G., 25; Hez K., 20; Ina, 18; Florence (sic), 13; Annie,  11; Henry Billings, 18, hireling. Though Annie is listed as a Heath and Noah's daughter, this is probably his granddaughter, Annie Holder.

Noah died in 1929.

The information about Mattie Mozelle and the two sets of twins who died in infancy came from Elizabeth (Kirkland) Heath, wife of my great-uncle Hezekiah.

Hezekiah dropped his middle name when he turned 21 and used the initial "K" instead, possibly emulating his maternal grandfather, Hezekiah Anderson, who went by H. K. Anderson in later years.
