John Buchanan "Buck" Ray was 3 in the 1860 Schley County, Georgia, census. His family moved to Taylor County before the 1870 census. Buck remained there at least through the birth of his daughter, Lula, in 1881. Records show that his father was there and alive as late as 1889, and his mother was a widow in that county as of the 1900 census. Buck and his family were in Richmond County in 1900, and must have relocated to Florida after daughter Lula got married in 1901 as I found Buck and Sarah in Marion County in the 1910 census; also in the household was Sarah's sister, Delilah. | ||||
