Personal
According to Johnny F. Sutton (see Sources), Elizabeth was the daughter of Elias and Penny Barnes, both born about 1799. She had one brother, Nicholson, who was born in 1835. The two are listed on the 1850 Robeson County census with their parents. Elizabeth possibly died some time during the Civil War.
