Personal
This family is unrelated to my line, but I wanted to know a little more about Abraham William Newman's first wife, Lucy Fenn, who died along with their young son soon after the 1870 census. I came across some information on her and her family in an IGI Individual Record by doing a search on Lucy's name at FamilySearch.org.

From there I did a little exploring of records from Dooly County, where Lucy and Abe Newman married, and found in the 1840 census an H.W. Fenn (spelled Fann), with the following household profile: 1 male 5-10; 1 male 10-15; 1 male 20-30; 1 male 50-60; 1 female 10-15; 1 female, 40-50. Since Lucy had an older brother named Henry Ward Fenn, I figured this H.W. Fenn must be her grandfather. The male in his 20's might be Eli, and the female between 10-15 might even be his wife, Mary Jane, as the IGI record indicates she was born in 1826, and that their first child was born in Spring 1841.
